WHAT WE CAN CREATE TOGETHER

In selecting your wedding photographer, the resonance of connection and comfort is as pivotal as the admiration for their artistic style.

01.

BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

let’s meet and talk

Before the curtain rises on your momentous day, let’s embark on a journey of conversation and connection. We’ll collaborate on your wedding day schedule to ensure I’m exactly where I need to be. But, it’s not just about the logistics; it’s an opportunity for us to explore the details of your vision, share ideas, and delve into your visual preferences for the photographs that will tell your story.

I am genuinely interested in understanding what holds the most significance for you—your key people, and the moments that you hold dear. What are the photographs you’re most looking forward to capturing?

But we don’t just stop here. This is an ongoing chat and I want you to feel free to reach out anytime with any questions or ideas.

02.

DURING YOUR WEDDING

I employ a documentary approach to narrate stories.

During the day as my style seamlessly marries the art of documentary and photojournalistic storytelling, I adopt an unobtrusive approach, blending into the background, allowing you to savour every moment with your loved ones.  I focus on the candid, in-between moments – capturing the genuine laughter, tears and everything in between. I always focus on being in the right place at the right time, naturally documenting key moments that unfold throughout your day. Employing a creative approach, I seek out optimal light and composition to transform each instance into a timeless piece of art, preserving the authenticity and unique narrative of your celebration.

Group photos

During our initial call, we will also talk about the group photos. From the lively antics of your friends to the quiet warmth of family members, I capture the diversity of personalities, making each group photo a vibrant reflection of the people on your wedding day.  I understand that organising a larger number of people can be a logistical dance, and so I recommend a little planning before hand. It is about a good balance between ensuring that everyone is where they need to be and encouraging the unscripted moments to happen naturally.

Couple portraits

In the intricate tapestry of a wedding day, couple portraits are the threads that weave the narrative of love. Beyond mere images, they are the visual poetry that immortalises the unique connection between two people. I believe in a blend of natural interaction, candid moments, and a touch of editorial flair. Understanding that every couple is different, I gauge how much direction you need. Whether you’re camera-shy or love being in the spotlight, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and allow your unique dynamics to unfold naturally. Couple portraits usually don’t take longer than 20 min and typically take place before your wedding breakfast. I also suggest that my couples take 10 minutes after the meal for additional photos in the evening light and possibly a different setting.

as the day progresses

As the day progresses, my photography style seamlessly shifts into a documentary approach. I prioritise capturing pivotal moments such as speeches, cake cutting, the first dance, and the vibrant ambiance on the dance floor. Each noteworthy instant contributes to a comprehensive and authentic visual narrative of your celebration. I blend in, ensuring you experience genuine, enjoyable moments with your loved ones. My ultimate objective is to capture these authentic experiences, weaving together the complete and heartfelt story of your special day.

03.

AFTER YOUR WEDDING

Sharing your memories

Following your wedding day, I’ll provide a sneak peek of approximately 50 images for you to share with your loved ones. Once all your images are ready, about 4-5 weeks thereafter, you’ll receive a link to your online gallery containing the entire set of thoughtfully edited photos.
The online gallery is designed for effortless sharing, and downloading images is a simple process. If you’re interested in albums and prints, we can discuss those options in more detail.

YOUR

QUESTIONS

My style is creative reportage with a mixture of fine art portraiture. I love my photos to tell a story and to evoke emotion. On a day, I am as observant as possible of everything that is taking place. From people’s interaction to close up details and beautiful portraits, I always strive to create something very special for you.

Yes I do. I have photographed weddings across the UK, Europe and in New York. I do not charge extra for travel in the UK.

I will give you a small selection of photos in the first week after your wedding (around 50) and 4 weeks after that you will receive your full gallery with all edited images.

I typically photograph the majority of my weddings solo, and I pride myself on my meticulous organisation. Ensuring comprehensive coverage, I capture all the pivotal moments of the day, from the intricate details to the joyous and heartfelt instances. For larger weddings with 150 or more guests, or when the bridal and groom preparations take place at distant locations from each other, I highly advise considering a second photographer.

This had never happened before and I have photographed all my weddings. However, if something serious should arise beyond my control, please do not worry, I have a great supportive network of wedding photography friends. There is always someone available and happy to help and I am confident that I can have a suitable replacement for you.

Yes, I am fully insured. I have public liability insurance for 5 milion.

This is something I hear very often. Please do not worry. I will make sure that you feel comfortable during the portrait session and we might even have a lot of fun. I will give you little tips to make sure that you look your best. I highly recommend booking an engagement session with me to see how that works.

I am a Sony shooter and use two full-frame bodies on the day. I shoot with prime lenses as they are faster and allow me to be more creative with the shallow depth of field. I sometimes also use 35 mm Olympus analogue camera.

The number of images you’ll receive depends on various factors, such as the duration of coverage and the size of your wedding. For a full-day wedding I typically deliver around 700+ images, for a smaller 5 hour wedding 500+ images. Rest assured, I’ll strive to capture all the meaningful moments of your day to provide you with a comprehensive collection of beautiful memories.

While it’s not essential, I greatly value having a hot meal during extended shoots spanning 8 to 10 hours. I typically prefer to eat alongside your guests to avoid interrupting moments with mid-mouthful shots. This allows me to stay energised and work well on the day. I recommend coordinating with your caterers to ensure that I receive a meal at the same time as you, ensuring that our schedules remain aligned throughout the event.

Using previous wedding couples’ photos is incredibly important for me as a wedding photographer. It’s a way for future couples to see my style, creativity, and the genuine moments I capture. Sharing these images on my blog and social media not only helps me connect with potential clients but also allows me to showcase my passion for storytelling.

Absolutely! I provide an online gallery that is password protected for you and your guests. From there, your guests can view and download images as they please. Additionally, they have the option to order high-quality prints directly from me if they prefer. It’s all about making sure everyone has easy access to your beautiful memories!
